Trustwell Honored with Breakthrough Culture Award for 2025
Award spotlights Trustwell’s people-first culture and commitment to professional growth in the food tech industry
Trustwell, the food industry’s trusted platform for nutrition, labeling, compliance, and traceability, has been named a recipient of Hyer’s 2025 Breakthrough Culture Award. This award celebrates companies that are rethinking how career growth happens—creating transparent, inclusive, and future-ready cultures where employees are supported and empowered to thrive.
Now in its second year, the Breakthrough Culture Award highlights employers that go beyond surface-level perks to deliver meaningful internal mobility, leadership opportunities, and skill development across all levels of the organization.
“We believe that building a safer, more transparent food system starts with empowering our team. This recognition affirms the progress we’re making to create a workplace where employees are supported, challenged, and valued at every stage of their journey,” said Katy Jones, CEO of Trustwell.
Since bringing together FoodLogiQ and ESHA Research in 2023, Trustwell has launched new products, scaled its platform capabilities, and expanded globally while maintaining a people-first approach to employee development.
As Trustwell scales, the company is guided by its “Growth Code”, a framework that balances agility with intention. The Growth Code includes principles like Pushing the Frontier and Kind Connection, which shape decision-making, talent development, and the day-to-day employee experience. It’s a strategy for building not just a bigger company, but a stronger and more human one.
“In a time when many employees are reassessing what matters most in their work, we wanted to clearly define what makes Trustwell a meaningful place to grow. Our EVP isn’t just aspirational; how we communicate, collaborate, and lead every day bears it out.”
— David Gulley, Director and Head of Human Resources at Trustwell
Hyer’s selection process was grounded in both qualitative and quantitative feedback, drawing from over 20,000 anonymous employee survey responses across more than 5,000 companies nationwide. Companies were assessed on the strength of their current and future employee initiatives, survey participation rates, and the authenticity of employee sentiment. Special emphasis was placed on open-ended responses, with evaluators analyzing how passionately team members described their company culture and how often they used keywords associated with progressive, people-first environments.
Trustwell emerged as one of just 100 organizations selected across 22 industry sectors—standing out for its clarity of purpose, transparency, and commitment to growth at every level.
