Trustwell Strengthens Customer Data Protection With Clean 2026 SOC 2 Type II Report
Latest audit reinforces Trustwell’s ongoing commitment to data security, availability, and strong operational controls
Salem, Ore. — SEPTEMBER 9 2026 — Trustwell, a leading provider of food safety, supply chain transparency, and regulatory compliance software solutions, has successfully completed its 2026 SOC 2 Type II audit with no exceptions noted.
The clean report provides independent validation of the security, availability, and operational controls Trustwell maintains to protect its systems and customer information. It also reflects the company’s continued investment in maintaining strong security practices throughout the year.
SOC 2 is a voluntary assessment framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to evaluate how service organizations manage and protect customer data. A SOC 2 Type II audit reviews the design and operating effectiveness of an organization’s controls over an extended period, providing an important measure of how consistently those controls are maintained.
Trustwell’s 2026 audit resulted in no exceptions noted, reaffirming the effectiveness of the controls included within the scope of the examination.
“Protecting our customers’ data is one of our most important responsibilities. A clean SOC II Type 2 report demonstrates the work we do every day to maintain strong controls, reduce risk, and earn our customer’s trust.”
— Doug Bell, CTO, Trustwell
For Trustwell, SOC 2 is an ongoing commitment, not a once-a-year exercise. Maintaining the controls evaluated during the audit requires continuous monitoring, documentation, internal accountability, and attention to security and operational practices across the organization.
“Protecting our customers’ data is one of our most important responsibilities,” said Doug Bell, Chief Technology Officer at Trustwell. “A clean SOC II Type 2 report demonstrates the work we do every day to maintain strong controls, reduce risk, and earn our customer’s trust.”
Trustwell uses Vanta to support ongoing security and compliance monitoring throughout the year. Keeping security-related tasks, documentation, and controls current helps support a more consistent audit process while giving teams greater visibility into the company’s security posture.
That work has become increasingly important as food and supplement companies rely on connected technology to manage critical information across product development, formulation, labeling, supplier management, quality, traceability, and recall processes.
Customers and prospects can access Trustwell’s latest security and compliance documentation through the Trustwell Trust Center. The 2026 SOC 2 Type II report is now available there for use during security reviews, vendor assessments, procurement processes, and other due diligence activities.
The successful audit builds on Trustwell’s continued commitment to maintaining the security practices and operational discipline its customers expect from a technology partner.
