Trustwell Launches AI-Powered Playbook in FoodLogiQ Compliance to Accelerate Compliance Planning and Audit Readiness.

New AI-guided document builder helps food safety and quality teams draft, organize, and maintain critical compliance documentation with greater speed and structure

SALEM, Ore. — JULY 7 2026 — Trustwell, a powerhouse provider of food safety, compliance, quality, formulation, and transparency solutions for the food industry, today announced the introduction of Playbook, a new AI-powered document builder within FoodLogiQ Compliance, Trustwell’s documentation and audit-readiness solution for food industry businesses. Playbook helps food safety and quality teams draft, organize, and maintain critical compliance documentation faster, supporting stronger audit readiness and more efficient compliance programs.

Food safety documentation is one of the most essential and time-consuming parts of compliance. Teams are often responsible for creating and maintaining HACCP plans, standard operating procedures, traceability plans, GMPs, allergen plans, supplier documentation, and other compliance records across multiple facilities, products, and regions.

Food safety teams carry enormous responsibility, and too much of their documentation work still starts with a blank page. With Playbook, we’re applying AI in a practical, purpose-built way: not to replace expertise, but to help teams move faster, ask better questions, and create stronger documentation inside the FoodLogiQ Compliance workflow.”

Katy Jones, CEO, Trustwell

These documents are critical for audits and regulatory expectations, yet many teams still rely on manual templates, spreadsheets, and scattered files. Keeping documents complete, current, and aligned with changing operational and certification requirements can place an ongoing burden on food safety managers.

Playbook brings AI-guided document creation into FoodLogiQ Compliance to help teams move from fragmented documentation processes to a more structured, food-safety-specific workflow. With Playbook, users can generate first drafts faster, build documents based on facility profiles, products, schemes, and applicable requirements, and use audit-readiness views to identify required and missing documentation.

Playbook automatically calculates an audit-readiness score based on coverage, or how many required documents in the user’s chosen food safety schema exist; completeness, or the number of guided questions answered and sections included; and freshness, or how recently documents were updated. Users can customize the weight of each factor to determine their organization’s level of preparedness.

Food safety teams carry enormous responsibility, and too much of their documentation work still starts with a blank page,” said Katy Jones, CEO of Trustwell. “With Playbook, we’re applying AI in a practical, purpose-built way: not to replace expertise, but to help teams move faster, ask better questions, and create stronger documentation inside the FoodLogiQ Compliance workflow.”

Food safety documentation has to reflect the realities of each operation. Requirements can vary by facility, product, scheme, and region, and teams need documentation that is both practical and audit-ready. Playbook helps create a stronger starting point while keeping food safety professionals in control of the final output.

Todd Dolinsky, Chief Product Officer, Trustwell

Playbook includes guidance for several food safety schemes recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), including Safe Quality Food (SQF), Global Good Agricultural Practices (GLOBALG.A.P.), and International Featured Standards (IFS). After users select the scheme that applies to their organization, Playbook identifies the required document portfolio and guides them through targeted creation interview questions designed around the information auditors are likely to review.

“Food safety documentation has to reflect the realities of each operation,” said Todd Dolinsky, Chief Product Officer at Trustwell. “Requirements can vary by facility, product, scheme, and region, and teams need documentation that is both practical and audit-ready. Playbook helps create a stronger starting point while keeping food safety professionals in control of the final output.”

The launch of Playbook reflects Trustwell’s continued investment in pioneering transparent and trusted solutions for the food industry. By embedding AI-powered documentation support directly within FoodLogiQ Compliance, Trustwell is helping companies address one of the most manual and high-stakes areas of food safety and quality management.
